Boatyard Gin

The Boatyard Distillery is located on the banks of Lough Erne in Fermanagh, N.Ireland.  The distillery is already a visitor centre for travellers who seek out the best scenery in Ireland and one of the only distilleries in the world where by you can come by car or bring your boat right to the distillery door.

Boatyard gin is a result of a year of research using many tasting panels to carefully balance our local botanicals. Initially our organic wheat spirit is passed through juniper berries, coriander seeds, liquorice, angelica, orris, lemon peel, grains of paradise, cassia and sweet gale to prime our spirit.  The sweet gales is foraged from the family farm near Enniskillen before being dried on wooden shelves. It is harvested early morning and not after rainfall, so that the delicate flavours of the oils don’t dissipate.  The second contact with fresh botanicals (thus earning the name “double gin”) is the distillation, which further draws out the flavours.
The taste in our opinion has bottled the terroir of Fermanagh.  Try it for yourself.
