With Parisian and New York influences, Balfes is an all-day dining brasserie and uptown bar in the heart of Dublin 2’s Creative Quarter. Located on Balfe Street, where Grafton Street and the Creative Quarter meet, Balfes features a 20 seater outdoor terrace, a zinc-covered bar and open kitchen.
Bantry Bay mussels in a Orpen Cider cream with home-cut chips, paired with Orpens Cider.
Orpens was created by three wine people that shared family histories in orcharding and cider-making. They think a primium cider that draws inspiration from wine-making is not only an interesting angle on cider-making, but one that raises the quality of the cider category and improves the natural expression of the apples within the cider. By mixing our cider-making and wine-making know-how, Orpens has created a cider that takes the best from both worlds: it’s balanced by the natural acids and flavours in the fruit and doesn’t rely too heavily on sugar. So the apples do the talking!
